their own stage of professional growth and develop a professional
development plan.
Professional Standards for Teachers of Hong Kong (PST)

is a set of expectations and goals for the teaching
profession to pursue on their professional journey;

describes what teachers believe, practise and
understand at different stages of their career; and
is designed as a reference tool for teachers to reflect
on their professional development needs and to
provide a direction for stakeholders offering support to
teachers’ professional growth
